Ingrown toenail treatment.
Gentle resection of the offending nail edge, carefully and with skill. Local anaesthetic is available if you'd prefer.
What happens in the appointment
An ingrown nail appointment will consist of removing the offending nail edge. This can be done under local anaesthetic at your discretion.
If your nails pinch at the sides on many toes, I can usually resect these carefully with a very clever blade, and am very skilled at this.
For more advanced cases
If more than three toes are affected, or the nails are very involuted, thickened, or painful, extra time may be needed. I'll let you know at the start of the appointment and explain any additional cost before we proceed.
For the most advanced cases, nail surgery under local anaesthetic is the better option — I'll discuss this with you if it looks appropriate.
